The course in Design is further enhanced by intensive teaching of artistic-creative and academic-theoretical principles. Seminars in Market Economy and Design Theory, as well as subject-specific workshops deepen an understanding of Design in the field of social, economic and ecological as well as general cultural responsibility. The students are fully prepared for responsible positions as designers in culture and economy. The Master's degree course in Design is offered in the following three branches of study: Wood Design / Product and Object Design, Fashion Design and Textile Art / Textile Design.

Annotation

The Master’s course requires and encourages the further development of intellectual and creative analysis of the contents of the Bachelor’s programme. The aim is to offer professionally relevant contents for competent ‘shaper’ personalities in terms of high design and technical qualifications. This is to enable them to take on responsible positions in industry as well as in crafts and the arts. The close link between realistic design processes and specific product realisations defines the quality of the project-based teaching. The course always accounts for the individual preferences, interests, previous experience and specialisations of the students.
