Annotation
The two-year English-language cooperative degree programme International Political Economy is interdisciplinary and internationally oriented. In terms of content, the focus is on both economic and political theories and methods for studying international economic and political processes. The degree programme is designed as a double degree programme with the University of Texas at Dallas and is to be studied entirely in English, with students spending one year in Marburg and one year in Dallas. Marburg handles primarily economics, while Dallas provides mainly training in political science. The programme is open to graduates with a Bachelor’s in political science (in Dallas) and economics (in Marburg) or related degree programmes. On the one hand, central topics of a Master's degree programme in economics are covered (micro- and macroeconomics, econometrics, specialised courses). On the other hand, central topics of a Master's degree programme in political science are covered (international relations, comparative political science, qualitative and quantitative social science research methods, specialised courses).
