Annotation
This is a German-language degree programme with study components in the compulsory subject areas of German Linguistics, Older German Literature and Modern German Literature. The focus of all programme content is the concept of mediality. The degree programme does not simply provide a purely technical education, which is the main focus and which enables students to work academically in German Studies and related fields beyond the Master's degree and gain further qualifications. Rather, in the form of a practical module related to specific professional fields of application, it also includes a compulsory component of the course in which, accompanied by scientific reflection and evaluation, experience is acquired in a professional field typical for German studies specialists.

A degree in German Studies (usually a Bachelor's degree or comparable, with at least 180 CP) with an overall grade of at least "good" (2.5). Applicants with related degrees (e.g. Communication or Media Studies) may also be admitted on request.
