Der duale Aufbau fördert die Verbindung von theoretischen Inhalten und praktischen Erfahrungen, um die Studierenden optimal auf ihren zukünftigen Beruf als Lehrer:in an den Schulen der Sekundarstufe I (Gemeinschaftsschulen, Real- und Werkrealschulen) vorzubereiten. Der Studiengang richtet sich ausschließlich an Personen mit einem Fachbachelor mit Schwerpunkt in Informatik (oder Physik); Absolventen eines Lehramtsbachelors können nicht zugelassen werden.
