Annotation
To accompany individual and social development and change processes with visual-intermedial techniques and procedures. The Intermedial Art Therapy degree course qualifies students for art therapy practice in clinical, educational, therapeutic and social fields of application and for collaboration in interprofessional treatment teams. The Master’s course can be studied full-time in four semesters, or alongside a career in six semesters. It is recognised both by the state and by the German Professional Association for Art and Design Therapy (DFKGT).

Admission requirements
- Entitlement to study according to Art. 39 HmbHG (first academic degree with at least 180 ECTS e.g. in one of the subjects psychology, therapeutic education, social work, educational science, medicine, nursing science, theology and neighbouring disciplines as well as art, music or design) or - state-recognised Bachelor's degrees in artistic therapies such as in art/music therapy - determination of artistic aptitude in an individual admission procedure which includes both an artistic-practical and an interview part. Artistic aptitude refers above all to the ability to engage creatively with artistic processes.
