Target group
The aim of the consecutive Master's degree course in Epidemiology is to train graduates from the subject areas of Natural Science, Humanities, Social Science and Health Science, Mathematics and Computer Science to become Epidemiologists with methodological skills in planning, implementation and evaluation of epidemiological studies.
Annotation
Applications are to be submitted to the Admissions Office of the University Mainz (http://www.uni-mainz.de/onlinebewerbung). If the Bachelor degree certificate is not available by the application deadline, but at least 135 credit points can be demonstrated: Submit a certificate of study and examinations and the average grade achieved so far. (This certificate must be issued by the relevant higher education institution, original or officially authenticated copy). After enrolment, the diploma must be submitted. If the degree was obtained abroad: officially authenticated copy of a certificate of recognition (responsible: Student Service - Admission International).
Admission requirements
Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, Social Sciences or Humanities with a grade of at least 2.5 or an equivalent degree. Evidence of the required English language proficiency obtained through five years of school education completed with at least a grade of "sufficient" or 5 points, or through a "Test of English as a Foreign Language" (TOEFL) passed with a score of at least 85. Selection interview of generally 20 minutes, at least 15 minutes Applicants who obtained neither their higher education entrance qualification at a German institution nor a degree in a course conducted in German are required to provide evidence of German proficiency at the level of the “German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education for Foreign Students” (DSH).
