Target group

Students who are entitled to study on a part-time basis are only those who are prevented from pursuing full-time studies due to a parallel occupation, raising children, caring for family members in need of care, a disability as defined by Section 3 of the Equal Opportunities for Disabled Persons Act (Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz) or for another similarly serious reason. Where there is no qualifying, subject-specific professional activity, the scope of professional activity must correspond at least to one half of full-time employment. Applicants to the part-time programme must enclose appropriate proof with their application.

Admission requirements

- Bachelor's or Diploma degree in Process Engineering from a German university or a degree from a foreign university that is at least equivalent to the one mentioned above. - A final grade in the relevant degree course of at least "good" (2.5), in the case of an academic degree obtained abroad a grade of at least equivalent grade or alternatively "A" or "B" according to the ECTS grade scale. - Exceptions to the minimum grade are specified in the Examination Regulations; relevant proof must be submitted.

No tuition fees are charged. The semester fee is EUR 326.92. With this, the student also obtains a ticket for the local public transport system as well as for whole of North Rhine-Westphalia.
