Target group

Graduates of sociological and social science degree programmes who are looking for a scientific and research-related consolidation on the topic of ‘approaches to contemporary society’.

Annotation

Good reading skills in English are recommended. A computer with Internet access is required for the course.

Admission requirements

Requirement for admission is a completed university degree with a standard period of study of at least six semesters with a good degree (overall grade or grade of the final thesis 2.5 or better) - in a Master's or Diploma course with a major or minor in sociology or - in all courses in which at least 60 ECTS points have been earned in sociology, or - in a comparable foreign degree. If your degree program only partially contains the required 60 ECTS points in Sociology (at least 30 ECTS points must be available), you can make up for the missing ECTS points by successfully passing exams in one or two advance modules in the academic studies at the FernUniversität in Hagen.
