Annotation

Urban planners are in high demand both in the civil service, such as municipal construction or planning offices, and in the private sector, i.e. especially in architecture firms or landscape and urban planning offices. They deal with the sustainable development of cities and the design of urban spaces and draw up planning concepts and development strategies for their further development. Following the basic semester, the practical project study per semester focuses on a larger study project which ranges from buildings and districts to cities and regions. The Bachelor's degree course in Urban Planning also offers its graduates the opportunity – after completing a Master's degree course in the field of Urban Planning and proof of two years of relevant professional experience – to use the protected job title "Urban Planner".
