Annotation
The degree course in Social Work:Transnational prepares students for the very different professional work requirements by offering them a generalist course of study on the one hand and at the same time enabling an exemplary focus on international and transnational topics, which introduces them to a selected field of work in social work, without limiting the employability of graduates to this field. Graduates from the degree course Social Work:Transnational have a critical understanding of the theories, principles and methods of social work and are able to deepen their knowledge independently. They are also able to apply this knowledge and understanding in their work as well as to develop solutions to problems and arguments, to develop professional positions, to defend these in arguments and develop them further, as well as to exchange professional views, in particular in interdisciplinary, international and intercultural contexts. The Bachelor´s degree course in Social Work:Transnational expands the curriculum of the degree course “Bachelor Social Work” by an integrated semester abroad (module 22) as well as an integrated, supervised work placement abroad (module 25).
