Annotation

The Mechanical Engineering Online course is offered at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences as an online course within the framework of the Virtual University of Applied Sciences (VFH), i.e. the modules and courses are conducted via e-learning, video conferences, etc. Only about 20 percent of the courses and examinations take place in classroom phases at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. The classroom phases are mainly on Fridays and Saturdays. Students can decide independently in each semester which and how many modules they would like to take. Therefore, this degree course is very well suited to be completed while working. The high degree of flexibility offered makes it possible to combine family, career and studies. In the Bachelor´s degree course in Mechanical Engineering Online (M-Online), students acquire the fundamentals of general mechanical engineering, and these are applied and deepened to form a profile in the areas of product development and industrial production. Another focus is on modern methods and tools used in industry, such as computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD, NC) or adaptive manufacturing processes. The aim of the course is to provide students with broad skills in the field of mechanical engineering with professional and methodological qualifications and to equip them with interdisciplinary competencies in the sense of professional competence. The curriculum provides a fundamental mechanical engineering education with well-founded content.
