The degree course prepares you for challenging engineering tasks in industrial practice as well as for a postgraduate Master's degree. You will acquire extensive basic knowledge in a practice-oriented, broad-based Mechanical Engineering programme. from the very first semester, our Bachelor's degree course in Mechanical Engineering takes a practice-focused approach – with numerous laboratory offers, in small groups and in a personal learning atmosphere. You can choose between the four specialisations Automotive Engineering, Digitalisation, Design and Calculation or Production and Manufacturing.
Admission requirements
Admission requirements: Higher education entrance qualification valid for Hesse. An 8-week pre-study work placement must be completed by the beginning of the third semester. NO pre-study work placement is required for enrolment. All metalworking professions (apart from precision metalworking and related professions), technical draughtsperson (completed vocational training) are recognised as pre-study work placements. Due to the English-language teaching components, English language proficiency at level B1 is important for successful studies.
