Admission requirements

(1) The prerequisite for starting the course is proof of completion of a degree program in & # 8722; Engineering or & # 8722; Vehicle and Traffic Engineering or & # 8722; Vehicle Engineering or & # 8722; Vehicle Electronics or & # 8722; in a degree program that is technically comparable to these study programs as a Bachelor of Science or as a Bachelor of Engineering or as a Chartered Engineer at a university or the conclusion of a corresponding accredited Bachelor's program at a vocational university. Furthermore, according to sentence 1, the courses must include at least 210 credit points according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). Whether the prerequisites are met or not is decided upon by a commission elected by the faculty council. The commission consists of teachers in the Mechanical Engineering Master courses, of which at least two are professors. (2) If the courses of study pursuant to paragraph 1 sentence 1 only reach 180 ECTS credits, applicants may be provisionally admitted in accordance with § 49 (7) sentence 4 HG with the proviso that the missing 30 credits are presented along with the application for the first module examination, at the latest, however within one year of starting the course. The proof is provided by the successful completion of a practical project with a duration of 20 weeks. The details are governed by a special order of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. A corresponding internship can also be proven when applying for admission to the program, so that, subject to further study requirements, final admission is granted.
