The main topics covered by the laboratory technology program include methods of molecular diagnostics, molecular cytogenetics, chromatography (FPLC, HPLC), mass spectroscopy, reproductive medicine, biomedical cell technology and bioanalytical chip technologies. Alternating theoretical and practical phases in cooperation with companies and social institutions. Depending on the location of the various areas of specialisation.

The degree programme in Medical Engineering Sciences is aimed at medical technologists who are already professionally qualified in three specialisations - Functional diagnostics (MTL) - Laboratory analysis (MTL) - Radiology (MTR) and is also aimed at - Surgical Technicians (OTA) - Anaesthesia Technical Assistants (ATA) - Emergency paramedics (NFS)
