Annotation

The Master's degree programme in Systems Engineering for Manufacturing is aimed at domestic and foreign students with a Bachelor's degree in an engineering field. It teaches the skills needed to critically examine solutions in the field of development and use of production systems and products and to solve current problems using scientific methods. To this end, the Master's degree programme focuses on interdisciplinary areas of relevance to production systems. Skills are developed for the cross-location development of new production systems on the basis of the products to be manufactured in them as well as for the life-cycle mastery of production systems. The degree course addresses the methodological foundations for the development of production systems according to the Systems of Systems paradigm. On the one hand, it provides the technical basis for the design and control of production systems and, on the other hand, enables the identification and conscious use of the dependencies between the individual aspects of a production system.
