Target group

The Sustainability Law - Energy, Resources, Environment LLM is aimed at academics of all age groups who would like to add value to their professional position by means of a targeted qualification in Environmental Law. The Master's degree is suited to both lawyers as well as employees in companies or authorities in which knowledge of environmental, energy and resource protection law is required for success against the competition. The course also represents an attractive opportunity for applicants who are in the phase after the First or Second State Examination to specifically gain further education in Sustainability Law parallel to judicial service training.

Admission requirements

1) A successfully completed degree in Law (at least 1st Staatsexamen), Economic Law, Economic or Environmental Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a closely related course of study, if equivalent qualifications in the area of Law can be proven within this. 2) Proof of at least one year of professional experience, generally after the first professionally qualifying academic degree was obtained. 3) Proof of basic command of English due to a final grade of at least 3.0 in higher education entrance qualification. On request, the following can be recognised: (a) an English-speaking telephone interview, (b) a 3-month documented stay abroad in an English-speaking country or (c) an English-speaking publication in a recognised scientific medium.
