Graduates of the Master's degree course deepen the knowledge gained in the Bachelor's degree course. Your professional profile is based on the tasks in leading roles in all areas of industry. In addition, the Master's degree graduates have the opportunity to do a doctorate and the higher level of the civil service is open to them.The Master's degree course in Industrial Engineering is jointly offered by the Faculties of Economics and Civil Engineering and/or Engineering. The students gain both skills in both Economics as well as Engineering. In this way, they obtain the ideal preparation for the inter-disciplinary tasks of economics.The Master's degree course in Industrial Engineering enables a more in-depth study of the content of the topics and offers areas of specialisation in the field of Engineering (Construction or Technology). Moreover, it contains courses that build on this for the consolidation of management techniques. The students should become qualified to further develop the skills acquired themselves and implement them effectively in the analysis and solution of scientific problems as well as in tasks from company practice.

Admission requirements

The admission requirement for the Master's degree programme is a Bachelor's degree with at least 210 credit points or a Diploma degree in the field of Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering - Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering - Mechanical Engineering or in a degree programme with an adjusted procedural grade of 2.5 or better (procedural grade is the grade obtained if the relevant final grade is adjusted for any credits (max. 0.7) according to the relevant selection regulations). If the applicant has a Bachelor's degree with fewer than 210 credit points, for example, the examination committee will decide on the admission and the conditions of admission.
