Target group
The postgraduate, career-integrated Master's degree course "Child Protection" is a part-time programme that is aimed at practitioners in child and youth services, social work and the healthcare system.
Admission requirements
The requirements for admission to the course of study are from Section 10 paragraph 5 of the BerlHG (Berlin Higher Education Act).In accordance with this, any person who has successfully completed a first professionally qualifying degree (Diplom, Magister, Bachelor's or Staatsexamen) are eligible for admission.Furthermore, applicants must also be able to provide proof of subsequent professional practical experience of at least 12 months.Applicants with a Bachelor's degree with 180 credits must obtain a further 30 credits for the Master's degree. Following individual guidance, credits obtained from continuing education or professional practical experience can be recognised with up to 15 credits. The additional 15 credits must be obtained by the submission of the Master's thesis at an institution of higher education, e.g. by attending supplementary modules or the accreditation of credits earned at other higher education institutions.

Tuition fee
The tuition fees are EUR 1,450 per semester. This is EUR 240 per month or EUR 8,700 in total. Payment in instalment can be applied for informally and easily. In addition to the tuition fees, every semester a re-registration fee is charged by the university.
