The third semester is a practical semester at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences in Germany, the University of La Coruna in Spain, another participating university or in a company/institution.

Requirements for admission to the Master's course in Water Engineering are a good or very good degree of a university course (standard period of study at least 7 semesters) in the subject areas of Water Management, Construction or very similar courses and proof of English skills at level B2.
