Admission requirements
The admission requirement is a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent professionally qualifying German or foreign academic degree from a six-semester university course in psychology. This university course must include all the contents required by the Approbationsordnung für Psychotherapeutinnen und Psychotherapeuten (PsychThApprO) for a Bachelor's course (cf. Art. 12-15 PsychThApprO as well as Appendix 1 to the PsychThApprO) and must be recognised under professional law by the competent state authority. Proof of German language skills by passing the German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education (DSH) or by proof of an equivalent. If applicable, English language skills to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) The examination board decides on the equivalence of the submitted proof.
