Admission requirements

Applicants can be enrolled for the Master's degree course in Mathematics if they furnish - proof of a Bachelor's academic degree on a Bachelor's/Master's degree course in Mathematics, Engineering Mathematics or Business Mathematics at the University of Duisburg-Essen or an equivalent professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree, graduating with a final mark of at least 3.0. Alternatively, the faculty may make admission contingent on student advice and counselling, on an aptitude test or on additional proficiency certificates and module examinations from the Bachelor's course. In cases of doubt, the examination board shall decide. - who passed not finally obtain a pass from a Master's degree in Mathematics or a related degree course at a higher education institution within the scope of the Higher Education Framework Act (HRG).
