The course is aimed at graduates with a first professional degree in Degree programmes in the field of Latin, Greek, Middle and Neo-Latin or one that is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in the amount of 180 credits and subject-related study at a university or equivalent higher education institution in Germany or abroad.

Admission requirements
The subject-related prerequisite is proof of academic achievement in Latin Studies, Greek Studies, Medieval and Modern Latin, Ancient History, or Classical Archaeology amounting to at least 60 credit points, a final grade of at least 'good' or better, as well as the Latinum and Graecum. Command of at least one modern foreign language at level B2 is also required: International applicants are required to provide proof of command of German at the level of a DSH test (stage 2), a TestDaF (TDN 4) or a recognised equivalent.
