Annotation
Human Medicine at the University Witten/Herdecke is highly practice-oriented from the first semester on. From the very beginning, students have the opportunity to apply their theoretically acquired knowledge in the entire spectrum of patient care (from general practitioners to maximum clinical care). Accompanying study programmes, such as anthroposophic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and foreign cooperative partnerships, provide interesting insights into various medical approaches, cultures and health care systems. According to the self-image of the University of Witten/Herdecke, the personality of the students is also in the foreground of medical education. The aim is to train technically and personally competent doctors who take on social responsibility and initiate necessary changes. From the learning and testing workshop, through mentoring programmes and feedback discussions, to clinical reflection training, various projects and other services, the university offers a variety of opportunities to develop one’s personality, as well as to contribute and implement one’s own ideas.

Tuition fees
Tuition fees
The tuition fee is based on the income that can be expected later on. The university allows for studying regardless of one’s financial background thanks to a reverse generation contract: Students can opt for immediate payment, delayed income-dependent payment or 50% immediate payment and 50% delayed payment. A maximum limit provides an upward cap on the payment. Payment is generally only for the standard period of study – even if it is exceeded.
