Annotation
The Bachelor's degree programme in Biomedical Sciences is intended to provide an understanding of complex biological processes in humans and animals from the molecule to the entire organism. The degree programme is based on instruction in biochemistry and molecular biology, as well as cell biology and physiology. Specialisations in Neurosciences, Immunology, Neuroimmunology, Molecular Biology and Quantitative Biology are offered. The aim of the Biomedical Sciences course is to teach students the skills needed to explore and describe the structures, functions and dynamics of these complex biological systems. The knowledge and skills acquired form the basis for the understanding and further development of translational approaches in research and medical applications. The degree programme develops skills that make it possible to abstract and formulate complex problems in an evolving field of research in order to find new ways of understanding complex biological processes in humans and animals.
