Annotation
In the first semester the foundations of understanding human activity and its effect on health and well-being are laid. In the second semester, findings and therapy processes are taught. The third semester serves the in-depth study of diagnosis and treatment. It serves as preparation for the practical phases in the fourth and fifth semesters. The sixth semester serves to deepen professional skills and to prepare students for the Staatsexamen (State Examinations). The seventh and eighth semesters are pure university semesters for the specialisation in therapeutic skills, whereby the eighth semester is reserved entirely for a scientific practical project and the subsequent Bachelor's thesis.
Admission requirements
Training contract with one of the cooperating vocational schools: The Bachelor's degree programme with vocational and academic elements in Ergotherapy, Physiotherapy is conducted in cooperation between Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and the vocational schools ETOS – Ergotherapieschule Osnabrück e.V. and the Prof.-Grewe-Schule, Schule für Physiotherapie. The study programme integrates the vocational school training in the field of Ergotherapy or Physiotherapy into a joint framework curriculum. It is therefore necessary to apply to a cooperating vocational school beforehand. English language skills are required - if the entry level is too low, it is possible to develop this in compact courses before the start of the semester. Applicants with a foreign school-leaving certificate must also demonstrate sufficient German language skills, e.g. proof of DSH 2 level of the German language test for admission to higher education for foreign study applicants (DSH).
