Overview
Between the student-village "Studierendensieldung am Seepark" and the city centre, at the edge of the district Stühlinger, is the Ulrich-Zasius-House (UZH). Named after one of the first professors who taught at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, it is the oldest student-residence. Thanks to comprehensive renovations, the house meets modern standards.
The students live in floor-sharing-communities, meaning every student has their own room, and the kitchen and shower/toilet is shared. 16 students live on each floor.
The city centre and the University can be reached in ten minutes by bike. The University hospital is reachable in just five minutes.

Students from abroad who have been placed in a dormitory room can contact the international dormitory assistants in their dormitory with any questions or problems they may have. At the beginning of each semester the assistants lead tours of the administrative offices and help take care of the first steps. During the semester the assistants offer an International Semester Programme with attractive events for German as well as foreign residents.
