Application requirements
Only students who are enrolled at a university in the state of Schleswig-Holstein can live in the dormitories of the Studentenwerk SH.
A certificate of enrolment is not required for an application. Student enrolment certificates can be uploaded later via the website.

International and students with disabilities are given priority.

15 January for summer semester, 15 July for winter semester

The Studentenwerk provides the International Centre at Kiel University with several rooms for international students. As an Erasmus+ student, please apply to the International Centre directly.

The renting periods in the dormitories are currently at least six months. The renting contracts must be signed for six months: for the winter semester (application deadline 15 June) from 1 September until 28 February of the following year; for the summer semester (application deadline 15 January) from 1 March until 31 August of the same year. To apply for a room, please submit your application on schedule.
