Special features regarding university sports

The university does not have its own sports programme. Thanks to a cooperation agreement, all students and employees of the MHH (Hanover Medical School) can participate in the university sports programme of Leibniz University Hanover University Sports, which usually offers a wide range of more than 800 courses in over 100 sports per semester. Participation is subject to fees. In addition to the university sports programme with numerous health-promoting courses, the university sports centre operates a modern gym and a climbing hall at the SportCAMPUS in Hanover. In addition, the university sports centre offers a wide range of special events that provide students and employees with a balance to their everyday study and work life and promote social interaction. Particularly noteworthy are the annual University Sports Festival, the International University Ball and the CAMPUSLigen leagues in various sports.
