Special features regarding the library

Locations: Two libraries at the Amberg and Weiden campuses. These libraries are open to students and staff around the clock (24-hour libraries).; Stock: Around 65,000 books; Around 15,000 e-books purchased; Comprehensive online access to national and international literature sources; Service: 24-hour libraries (open around the clock); Training for students in the use of online media; As public libraries, also accessible to external parties via a user ID, either for the reading rooms or for lending (without fees). Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Czech language offers also in continuing education at UNIcert level. It is possible to participate in the OTH Regensburg language programme.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students can take part in the sports programmes of the OTH Regensburg as part of the "Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule" network between the OTH Amberg-Weiden and the OTH Regensburg. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The programme is open to students of OTH Regensburg in cooperation with the "Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule" between OTH Amberg-Weiden and OTH Regensburg. Sports training times in the university sports hall in Amberg and the city sports halls in Weiden are regularly fully booked. About 500 students take advantage of the diverse range of activities offered by the Sports Department. This includes exercise classes such as yoga, dance, jazz dance and other individual sports. Fellow students can often be recruited as instructors.
