Special features regarding the library

Locations: Library in the heart of the media city of Babelsberg; Stock: 110,000 books and journals, 3,000 eBooks; three full-text databases, four streaming platforms; 35,000 DVD and Blu-Rays; 4,800 films by graduates; Approx. 4 million press clippings; Service: The University Library of the Film University Babelsberg is the oldest special library for film, television and media in Germany with a focus on the history of the DEFA. It is a central research institution for all those from Germany and abroad who work and research with and around moving images. Film, television and media science textbooks in German as well as a selection of English-language specialist literature are acquired. Services include printing, scanning, copying, microfilm scanning, inter-library lending, technology lending, chargers and much more.
