Special features regarding the library

Locations: The academic library offers quiet, brightly lit workspaces on the 5th floor, with PC workspaces for catalogue and online research. Güntzstr. 1, 01069 Dresden.; Stock: The media stock comprises around 4,600 media, 600 electronic resources and 10 analogue journals as well as 85 licensed specialist databases.; Services: The library offers 14 learning spaces and workspaces for research/work, as well as a quiet area for relaxed reading. Small group rooms are available for group work. Freely accessible printing, scanning and copying opportunities are available. The library staff regularly conduct courses for catalogue and online research and provide support in research assignments. Regular acquisition of the core literature for the degree courses. Integrative use of the local university and university libraries (especially the Dresden State and University Library) possible.

Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Russian, Chinese

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Dresden University of Applied Sciences (FHD) cooperates with Dresden University Sports Centre. The entire programme is exclusively available to all students and employees. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The university regularly participates in various team challenges (e.g. Rewe Team Challenge City Run, Cross-Country Skiing Cup). The entry fees and equipment are partly provided by teams of students and staff.
