Special features regarding the library

Locations: The university library of Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DBHW) Lörrach has two locations.; Stock: More than 65,000 volumes of study literature and approx. 400,000 e-books; Services: There is a wide range of printed and electronic journals and databases. The library also has an intercultural collection and a regional collection for the tri-border region. Online and face-to-face training courses and self-study options are offered.; With its state-of-the-art, noise-reduced individual workspaces, the university library is a modern service provider and a popular place of study for students. In addition, the library offers individual consultations on research and Citavi (either online or in person).

Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: Chinese, English, French, Spanish. Students have access to the digital language learning programmes "Rosetta Stone" and "ARTE Campus".

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Sport at other colleges / universities is only possible after prior agreement. You can also take advantage of the sports facilities of the Freiburg student union (Studierendenwerk). Participation is free of charge. Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) is a member of the General German University Sports Association (ADH). Participation in competitions (e.g. DHM) is possible at any time after registration. Participation in the sports programmes of other DHBW locations is possible at any time. Participation in the sports programmes of other colleges/universities is only possible by arrangement.
