There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, The students may use offers of the Language Centre of the University of Erfurt as well as other Thuringian universities.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Erfurt university sports club (USV) provides the entire range of university sports for students and staff of the Universität Erfurt and the Fachhochschule Erfurt. With more than 120 courses in more than 60 types of sports, USV Erfurt offers a very wide range of sports activities on a popular sports basis for students and staff of Erfurt's universities. The offer includes football, basketball, volleyball, parcour, karate, climbing, floorball, ultimate Frisbee.
