Locations: The central university library in Lübeck is a joint library of the Technical University of Applied Sciences and the University of Lübeck.; Stock: 150,230 e-books; 5,301 journals printed electronically + 18; 110,897 journal volumes; 27,232 textbooks; 214,563 dissertations; 109,487 monographs; 506,831 total bibliographic units; Service: The central university library in Lübeck is a joint library of Lübeck University and the University of Applied Sciences of Lübeck. It serves as a scientific library for research and teaching, study and professional development in the fields of Medicine, Health Sciences, Technology, Economics, Construction, IT and Natural Sciences. In December 2023, the library was reopened after extensive modernisation (including 500 workspaces, group rooms, sound insulation, conference systems, PC spaces, lounge, barrier-free workspaces, standing workspaces).

Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Swedish, Russian, Chinese. Foreign language modules from other universities - with the same ECTS credits and comparable teaching content and learning objectives - can be credited in many degree courses at Lübeck Technical University of Applied Sciences (TH Lübeck). This depends on the respective study regulations.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. ZE Hochschulsport Lübeck is a joint institution of the University of Lübeck, Technical University of Applied Sciences of Lübeck, Musikhochschule Lübeck and the Federal University of Applied Administrative Sciences. In addition, participation in sports trips and ski trips of Hamburg University Sports is possible. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The central facility university sports Lübeck has a particularly large offer in the areas of water sports (canoeing, dinghy and yacht sailing, wind and kite surfing, rowing, dragon boating), combat and budo sports as , dance well as health and fitness sports; numerous club cooperations in the areas of team and trend sports. Every year, several tournaments are held in different sports and events (uni run, summer party, etc.). A varied excursion programme rounds off the Lübeck university sports programme.
