Foreign language center and courses

There is no foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, German Sign Language. The language courses are offered as part of the "Studium Generale" (general course of studies) by the Centre for Continuing Education on a semester by semester basis as needed; and DaF and English are offered every semester. Students may participate in the Early Language Centre Language Centre of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, see https://www.sprz.ovgu.de.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. For our students, participation in the sports programme at most universities in the state of Saxony-Anhalt is possible, for example also in the sports programme of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. Participation is subject to fees. As a modern and health-promoting university, we see it as our responsibility to promote the health of all our students and employees. We want to create ideal study and working conditions and make everyday life on our campus as healthy and active as possible. Not only is it a wonderful place to study in the countryside, you can also easily keep fit with one of the approximately 250 sports and health courses per semester. In addition to the extensive range of sports, we offer comprehensive health management services.
