Special features regarding the library

Stock: Approx. 228,000 printed media, approx. 60,000 e-books, 30,200 e-journals and 94 specialist databases; Services: The university library also offers excellent research options in the "FINC" Discovery catalogue. To promote information literacy and media skills, subject-specific training courses, guided tours and lectures are offered. The HSB offers optimal learning and working conditions, as well as generous opening times. The university library provides support and advice on open access publishing on LIBDOC, among other things. A diverse programme in the library series in Studium Generale rounds off the university library portfolio.

Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, technical languages for technology, economics and design.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students can also take part in the courses of the other higher education institutions in Saxony. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. We now also offer online courses and health courses.
