Special features regarding the library

Stock: Over 300,000 media in total (including around 110,000 e-books) are available. Access is available through licensing agreements to over 100 million full texts.; Services: The library considers itself a central location for information and communication and can be used free of charge. 154 workstations, of which 41 are computer workstations, as well as 9 carrels (work booths) and several group workrooms offer ideal conditions. The library is equipped with WiFi, photocopying facilities, scanners, interactive whiteboard and video conference technology.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of all higher education institutions in Saxony and beyond. Participation is subject to fees. Our programme is open to all students, regardless of which higher education institution they belong to. The university sports centre offers over 40 different types of sports. Over 90 different types of sports are offered by approx. 40 course instructors. In addition to the daily sports courses, every year we offer a winter camp, a climbing camp and a kite surfing camp at beginner and advanced level. Various internal competitions are also organised over the course of the semester. The Sports Centre is also responsible for organising the Saxony University Basketball Championship.
