Foreign language center and courses
There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, Spanish, Russian, Russian lessons in the programme students teach students; Monthly language meeting in English through the Cosmopolitan Club; German Grammar/Conversation for Intern.
Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. It is possible to participate in the climbing activities at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Participation is subject to fees. As part of the Studium Generale, the courses "Health Teaching and Exercise" and "Health Competency and Exercise" are offered. The goal is to stabilize and/or improve the students' physical and mental performance and, at the same time, to train health and social skills, such as Team communication and Integration Skills. Since 1999, the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences has been a "partner university for top level sports”.
