Special features regarding the library

Stock: The library contains 50,000 media, approx. 100 current journals and 12 newspapers. There are also 1,084 e-books available.; Services: Our users have access to 7 different databases. The software "Citavi - Literature Management and Knowledge Organization" is new at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences. Employees and students at our university can use this license for studying, teaching and research on computers in the university and on all personal computers.

Foreign language center and courses

There is no foreign language centre. There are language courses for individual degree courses. There are dedicated advisory and support programmes with targeted language courses for students with a refugee background or non-German native speakers.

Special features regarding university sports

The university does not have its own sports programme. As part of a cooperation, our students can participate equally in the general university sports of the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, which is located in our neighbourhood. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The university offers a regular running group for students, employees and teaching staff. As a highlight of the year, the university participates in the “Mainzer Firmenlauf” company run event. The university also offers Qi gong under the direction of Ms. Sabine Petri.
