Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. In addition to the Technical University, students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of four other universities: Freie Universität (FU), Humboldt University of Berlin (HUB), Berlin University of Applied Sciences (HTW) and Berlin University of Technology (BHT). Participation is subject to fees. As part of a cooperation opportunity, the sports programme of the TU Berlin is also open to students from other universities in Berlin. The TU Berlin bears the quality seal "Partnerhochschule des Spitzensports" and actively promotes the possibility of a dual career in top sports in synchronization with university education. In doing so, the university sports team is working in a leading role with the Olympic Support Point in Berlin. The TU Berlin owns and maintains its own sports facilities. The university sports centre is actively involved in occupational health promotion for employees and students.
