Special features regarding the library

Locations: The libraries of the HAW Hamburg are centrally organised in the university information and library service (HIBS). A total of 5 specialised libraries.; Services: Over 200,000 printed and electronic media are available. The technical engineering and computer science library is also the official DIN standards repository. In addition to various databases, e-magazines and e-books, a whole range of search tools are available online. Regular training courses are held for students, among other things, to convey information.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Hamburg University of Applied Sciences is an elite sports partner university in Hamburg and helps top student athletes to cope with the demands of studying and performance training and to flexibly coordinate the time commitments of training and competitions and, for example, exams. Right at the centre of the Berliner Tor campus is an ultramodern health and fitness studio that offers the best possible sporting facilities. The fitness studio has around 60 high-tech machines, washrooms, changing rooms and a university sports office.
