Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Latin, Arabic, Turkish. Students can take part in courses offered by the Bavarian Virtual University (BVU). The extent to which participation in the foreign language programme of other higher education institutions is possible is not known.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. All Bavarian university sports institutions generally accommodate our students as a gesture of goodwill. Participation is subject to fees. The programme of the University of Würzburg is open to: Students of the University of Würzburg, the HAW Würzburg-Schweinfurt and the University of Music Würzburg. The Würzburg university sports programme offers an inexpensive and varied range of year-round courses in various types of sport to balance out everyday student life. Nearly all courses are freely accessible without registration or individual fees once an authorisation ID has been acquired for the university sports programme, allowing every participant to take part in a large selection of events flexibly on a daily basis.
