Locations: Central library with general reading room, manuscript reading room, information centre, group work rooms and exhibition areas; 11 further specialist reading rooms are distributed across the campus.; Stock: 3.7 million media items and many electronic full texts, including e-books, journals, literature and specialist databases, special collections and much more.; Services: With approximately 4 million media, the university library is the largest academic library in the region and offers more than 3,500 workspaces in different zones, making it one of the largest reading areas in Germany. In addition: Extensive service portfolio as well as innovative digital developments, numerous exhibitions and events, expert and service-oriented information partner for university members and the general public in the region.

Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Turkish, Finnish, Korean, Dutch, Hungarian, Ukrainian. Students may take part in the programme: Bavarian Virtual University (BVU) – OTH Regensburg

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of all Bavarian higher education institutions. Participation is subject to fees. The programme is open to: OTH Regensburg and all Bavarian higher education institutions. Over 80 different types of sports/programmes; Approx. 110 qualified instructors; Sports competitions and tournaments, very good infrastructure (indoor swimming pool, large beach volleyball court, climbing tower and wall, slackline park, disc golf course, bodyweight station, etc.)
