Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Russian, Japanese, Arabic, Dutch, German Sign Language (DGs), Korean, Ukrainian. As long as the framework conditions and the services provided are comparable, language courses can theoretically be taken at all other universities and then submitted to us for recognition.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. The Bergische Universität Wuppertal (BUW) was recognised by the adh as "University of the Year 2017" for its offers and its commitment in the field of university sports. Choice of more than 70 sports from trend, leisure, health and competitive sports; Fitness centre with spacious training areas directly on the campus; Annual sports events, such as the UniSport Campus Festival, the UniLauf run and various tournaments; A variety of exercise-oriented health activities (including active break).
