Locations: Erfurt and Gotha campuses; Services: The Erfurt/Gotha university and research library offers access to 500 databases, 9,000 electronic journals and other electronic publications, digital copies of its stock online, and training on communication of information and academic propaedeutics. At the Erfurt site more than 1 million printed volumes, 1,700 printed journals and the historical Bibliotheca Amploniana are available, while the Gotha site is home to 690,000 volumes which include occidental and oriental manuscripts and the collections of the cartographic press Justus Perthes Gotha.

Special features regarding university sports

Erfurt university sports club (USV) provides the entire range of university sports for students and staff of the Universität Erfurt and the Fachhochschule Erfurt. With more than 120 courses in more than 60 types of sports, USV Erfurt offers a very wide range of sports activities on a popular sports basis for students and staff of Erfurt's universities. Facilities include for example football, basketball, volleyball, parkour, karate, climbing, floorball, ultimate frisbee, trampolining and numerous types of fitness and health courses.
