Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students may take part in trips and workshops of all higher education institutions in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Participation is subject to fees. The course programme of the general university sports centre is aimed at the students and employees of the University of Stuttgart. The University of Media, University of Technology, Academy of Fine Arts, Macromedia University of Media and Communication, University of Communication and Design and Merz Academy and, for selected programmes, Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DBHW) Stuttgart and the University of Hohenheim are also eligible to participate. This creates a unique sports network for the whole of Stuttgart among the participants.
