Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Cooperation between the university sports of the University of Cologne and the general university sports of the German Sport University Cologne (DSHS). Under the title UniSport ², the two university sports institutions offer a joint sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. UniSport² offers extremely attractive exercise options. The spectrum includes leisure and trend sports courses, sports leisure activities, educational offers, competitive events, international encounters and inclusion offers. The courses taking place close to the campus alone involve about 500 weekly hours of university sports in more than 150 different sports and exercise areas led by highly qualified trainers. UniSport ² also organises events such as the Pádel-Uni-Liga, the UniLauf and tournaments.
