Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Turkish, Dutch, Farsi, Korean, English for Academic Purposes. UOS students can also participate in courses of other university language centres in Germany. We always try to take these achievements into account when placing students in our courses.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students can participate in the sports programmes of the universities of the regional University Sports Association of Lower Saxony/Bremen. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The diverse range of university sports is aimed at both students and employees of the university, as well as those from Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. Due to the different semester dates, the programmes are divided into holiday sports programmes, early starter programmes and major sports programmes. In addition to the in-person sports programme, which takes place mostly at the centrally located university sports venues, online courses are also offered in some cases.
