Special features regarding teaching

There are studios with modern equipment available for students. Some of the courses are held in the studios. Teaching rooms, laboratories and workshops are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The range of courses has a practical, project and international orientation. In the optional required areas, students have the opportunity to qualify for an individual content-related specialisation. Joint projects with the degree courses in Interior Design and Design make interdisciplinary work possible.

Special features regarding the international orientation

International exchange programmes; Possibility of a dual Master's degree with Shenyang Jianzhu University; The Master's degree course can also be taken in English; 5. semester of the Bachelor’s degree course possible as a semester abroad; University teacher exchange with the partner universities (guest critic); Student projects with foreign higher education institutions; excursions abroad; A project and excursion week every winter and summer semester; Cooperation with the International Office of the university; Promotion of internships abroad; Interdisciplinary and intercultural project work, international workshops.

Other special features

The degree courses in Architecture benefit from the creative potential within the faculty of Design. In addition to the degree courses in Architecture, the following degree courses are offered: Bachelor’s and master's in Interior Design, diploma degree with specialisation in Product Design and Jewellery Design, diploma degree in Communication Design and Media. Family-friendly university. The focus is on work in small groups in seminars, projects and practical work. The faculty's own workshops allow students to put their ideas into practice on site.
