Special features regarding teaching

Intensively supervised degree courses in small groups, project-oriented range of courses in interdisciplinary modules; Internationally respected diversity of subjects: cultural and historical foundations, design and presentation, design, building planning, urban planning and landscape architecture; Research topics, especially projects and research areas, integrated into teaching; including German/international self-built projects; University-wide elective courses, summer schools of other universities; one-semester mobility window; Regular awards for student projects/final papers

Special features regarding the international orientation

Many partnerships within Erasmus and worldwide; Around 90 outgoing students and 50 incoming students per year; Faculty has its own International Office; Structured recognition procedures. Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture, Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Transforming City Regions (TCR) with mobility window; Formal recognition of credits earned externally is easy to achieve. If 54 CP were earned at a foreign university, there may be the possibility of a ‘with International Honors’ certificate supplement. Construction Robotics and TCR as new, internationally oriented Master’s degree programme in English.

Other special features

JAA – annual exhibition organised by the departmental student body; Café Reiff organised by the departmental student body; Meetings of the departmental student body with the participation of the dean’s office; Excursion Week or White Week with individual courses offered by the teaching units for workshops lasting several days; Workshop courses in the Bachelor’s programme
